Sharif University of Technology Association (SUTA)-Toronto
Sharif University of Technology Association was founded in June 2000 in California as a non-profit, public benefit educational corporation. The association is dedicated to excellence in science and technology and its strength and successes are due to its primary human resources, namely the faculty and the students, past and present.
SUTA- Toronto is one of many active chapters of worldwide SUTA, established in June 2002 as the first chapter in Canada. It welcomes not only Sharif University of Technology -related associates but also other engineering, science and technology graduates from universities inside and outside Iran.
The main purpose of its creation was to invite and connect Sharif graduates, faculties and related associates in Eastern Canada. With increasing number of new professional immigrants to Ontario, the need to provide certain assistance to these newcomers and their families were deemed crucial.
Its mission is to encourage and strengthen professional networking among its associates in Ontario by organizing scientific and technological seminars, mentorship programs and, reunions and social events
Since its establishment in 2002, SUTA-Toronto has held 2 bi-annual Reunions, numerous technical seminars and social gatherings, Yalda and Nowruz Celebrations, and Summer Picnics. The social events have been in collaboration with other professional associations such as Kanoon Mohandes and Fanni Ontario.

Canadian Society of Iranian Engineers/ Architects (MOHANDES)
Established in 1989, MOHANDES strives for professional, moral and cultural excellence, through smart and productive utilization of engineering knowledge and expertise, keeping up with evolving scientific and engineering trends and contributing to local, national and global communities.
Mohandes Mission:
– To attract, organize, inform, devise and support members and the Iranian Canadian Engineering Community at large to achieve their desired standing in the Engineering and business community in Canada.
– To ensure that the full cycle of Immigration/Integration of Iranian engineers to Canada is well understood, observed, monitored and measured and remedial action is taken on timely basis.
– To encourage members to pursue higher level of formal and informal education and promote professional activities through seminars, workshops, events and volunteer work.
– To provide networking opportunities in order to promote professional and cultural relations with other professional individuals and organizations and promote business opportunities.
– To encourage and support students of engineering disciplines, innovations and new engineering frontiers and recognize outstanding academics, engineers, students and entrepreneurs.
– To maintain and promote higher moral, ethical and professional standards by encouraging volunteer and humanitarian activities through promoting Iranian cultural, engineering and architectural history and to participate and host cultural, recreational and sports activities
– To establish mechanisms for acquiring budget and fundraising to enable MOHANDES to deliver its desired services.
– To expand activities of MOHANDES by establishment of local chapters, subsidiaries and confederation with similar organizations.

Iranian Canadian Legal Professionals (ICLP)
The Iranian Canadian Legal Professionals (ICLP) was formed in early 2014 pursuant to a merger between two non-profit organizations, Iranian Canadian Lawyers’ Association (ICLA) and the Iranian Legal Professionals of Ontario (ILPO).
The mandate of the Iranian Canadian Legal Professionals (ICLP) is to build, maintain and strengthen a network of Iranian legal professionals in Canada, consisting of lawyers, paralegals, law clerks, law students and fully accredited court interpreters, establish mentorship programs and provide guidance to Iranian legal professionals in Canada at the various stages of their careers, establish links between Iranian-Canadian legal professionals and the Iranian community as well as the broader legal community in Canada, promote and advocate on behalf of legal professionals of Iranian descent, and raise public awareness in and provide a forum for discussion on issues affecting the Iranian-Canadian community.

Professional Iranian Canadian Real Estate Association (PICRA)
Professional Iranian Canadian Real Estate Association (PICRA), is a not-for-profit, non-religious, and non-political membership organization, founded to facilitate and promote co-operation and networking among Iranian Canadian Real Estate professionals, and to advance their professional careers.
PICRA was founded out of the needs of the Iranian Canadian REALTORS® and services for it’s members and the community. The members of the Board of Directors bring a diversity of skills and a wealth of experience to their work on behalf of the Iranian Canadian REALTORS® and we are grateful for our members’ active involvement, engagement and contribution.
PICRA’s objectives are:

Currently PICRA has more than 500 active members, to fulfil PICRA’s mandate we provide monthly seminars in different fields from home inspection to legal, tax and ethics.

Intercultural Iranian Canadian Resource Centre (I²CRC)
The Intercultural Iranian Canadian Resource Centre (I2CRC) is an independent not-for-profit organization that contributes to building strong communities by engaging, animating, and supporting urban newcomer communities to fully participate and integrate in an active and vibrant cross cultural hub.
I2CRC represents the fulfilment of a long-held community vision; celebrating the unique culture, history, and legacy of Iranian Canadians for the benefit of their community, as well as all Canadians. Fanni Alumni Association of Ontario
Fanni Alumni Association of Ontario is established by its members who are graduates of Faculty of Engineering of University of Tehran (Fanni), living in the province of Ontario, Canada. Fanni Ontario is a democratic, not-for-profit organization and has no political, religious, and ethnic affiliations or preferences.
The purposes and objectives of the Alumni shall be:
a) To promote the bonds of professional and social fellowship among its members, and to make for better acquaintance and mutual helpfulness among members.
b) To promote the collective interests of all members.
c) To cooperate with other similar associations in Canada and in other countries for the promotion and advancement of the Alumni’s affairs.
d) To develop and maintain high standards of fellowship among members and enhance the usefulness of members’ activities to the public.

Canadian Society of Iranian Food and Nutritional Scientists (CSIFNS)
Canadian Society of Iranian Food and Nutritional Scientists was established in 2004. The society strives to establish, promote and provide opportunities for scientific and professional cooperation among its members and with other similar organizations across Canada.
Highlights of CSIFNS Activities:
– 75 professional training courses/ sessions, social networking events and scientific seminars/talks held over the course of past 15 years
–Between 67-70 active members annually
– Over 200 professionals in online networking forum
– Mentoring many new comers and job seekers to identify job opportunities including volunteered positions to gain “Canadian experience”
– Peer to Peer mentoring to encourage established members to pursue higher level of education and skills for career enhancement

Iranian Canadian Builders Association (ICBA)
The Iranian Canadian Builders’ Association is a non-political, non-profit, and non-religious organization and was established in 2008 to synergize the leading Iranian builders, operating in the Greater Toronto Area. Members of this exclusive organization share their expertise and knowledge to carry out construction projects of outstanding quality. As a part of its mandate to improve industry standards, ICBA administers workshops, training seminars and other educational forums. The ICBA actively maintains relationships with major stakeholders within the real estate development industry and has 72 active members.
The objective of this association shall be:

Iranian Students Association at York University (ISAYU)
ISAYU is a social and cultural organization committed to promoting the colourful Persian heritage; its rich language, unique art, diverse population and extra- ordinary history. ISAYU purpose is to be the center for Iranian’s life at York University.
ISAYU will attempt to accomplish the subsequent goals by the following means:
a) Meetings
b) Cultural Events
c) Social Activities
d) Educational Events
e) Fundraising
f) Organized Sport Activities
g) And other activities as may seem appropriate and desirable.
In addition, ISAYU will try to create a sense of unity within York University and the Iranian community. ISAYU will attempt to familiarize the Iranian community with York University and vice versa. ISAYU will focus a great deal on the promotion and education of the Iranian culture within the multicultural community of York University.
ISAYU will help to educate, motivate and challenge students to recognize choice and consequence in conflict, on a personal and community level. ISAYU will help Iranian students with adjustments and adoptions to the new environment.
