Legal Assistance Information
Free legal assistance for families of victims who lost their lives aboard Ukrainian Airlines Flight 752.
Speak to a lawyer & receive:
- Help identifying the nature of your legal issues
- Advice and assistance on steps you can take yourself
- Help drafting basic legal documents for use in the Canadian justice system
- Where appropriate, referrals to pro bono and other lawyers.
Who is eligible:
- Canadian citizens
- Canadian permanent residents
- Foreign nationals with study permits who were enrolled in a Canadian university or college
- Foreign nationals living and working in Canada under a valid work permit

واجدین شرايط
اعضاى خانواده هاى قربانيان پرواز PS 752 كه داراى يكى از شرايط زير هستند:
– شهروندى كانادا
– اقامت دائم در كانادا
– اجازه تحصيل و مدارك ثبت نام در يك كالج يا دانشگاه كانادايى (اتباع خارجى)
– اجازه كار و اقامت در كانادا (اتباع خارجى)

On January 27, 2020, the Department of Justice issued a press release offering more particulars about the government's partnership with Pro Bono Ontario to provide legal assistance to family members of Canadian citizens or permanent residents who lost their lives in flight PS752. The news release states that the Government has allocated $218,029 in funding to Pro Bono Ontario, which will flow over two years, 2019-20 and 2020-21, to support families across Canada as required.
Families are now able to call a toll-free number to speak with a triage lawyer, free of charge, who will assess their legal needs and make referrals to pro bono lawyers across Canada as appropriate. To this end, Pro Bono Ontario has partnered with Iranian Canadian Legal Professionals (ICLP) to develop a linguistically proficient and culturally sensitive panel of volunteer lawyers to provide additional assistance. This initiative will help families address a variety of legal issues that have arisen as a result of the loss of their loved ones.
The impacted families are able to call toll-free at 1-877-873-7875 Monday to Friday, from 10 am to 6 pm EST to speak with a triage lawyer, free of charge, who will assess their legal needs, provide summary legal advice and legal drafting assistance, and make referrals to pro bono lawyers across Canada from ICLP's roster of volunteer lawyers.
